A 2026 Audio Voters’ Guide – #273

October 12, 2026

A core tenet of this show and the entire Channel 253 Podcast Network is that local politics is a point of leverage by which people can get and make meaningful change. This is a belief that goes back to the very first episodes of the show and our Adult Civics Happy Hour gatherings.

This episode is a conversation with recommendations about the upcoming mid-term elections. We discussed the (awful) crop of statewide initiatives, two contested races in the 29th LD, candidates for the State Supreme Court, suggested changes to the Pierce Country Charter, and two local measures about transit and housing protections.
