We must start at the beginning. We must begin speaking out. Laurie reflects on the movement surrounding marriage equality. “The most important thing queer people ever did was just to come out.” We have to stop demonizing the Republican Party and begin having conversations in which we ask questions instead of yelling. We have to find a way to reach the middle-of-the-roaders.
